Sydney Seaplanes

Set sail for
the skies

Where it all took off

For more than two decades, Sydney Seaplanes has been a feature of Sydney’s skies. From the waters of Rose Bay, the site of Australia’s first international airport, tourists and sightseers take flight, gaining magical views of the harbour and beyond. At a time when flying is something to endure rather than enjoy, Sydney Seaplanes set out to recapture the glamour and excitement of years gone by.

Bringing back the romance

We leaned into the brand’s heritage, drawing on a time when flying was an occasion in itself. A hand-rendered wordmark, aerial photography, travel iconography, and emotive language come together to honour the simple joy of flight. And with one of the world’s most beautiful harbours below, our most important design decision was not blocking the view.

Set to soar

The result is a brand that feels clean and classic, framing the experience without ever overpowering it. Most importantly, it’s made to market. A simplified brand kit gives the team everything they need to create scroll-stopping content, with every post, ad and touchpoint feeling like part of the same memorable journey.

Inspired by vintage luggage tags and boarding passes, a suite of travel icons adds a sense of occasion to everything from social posts to gift vouchers.

“Biggie understood exactly what makes a Sydney Seaplanes flight special. The new brand captures that feeling perfectly. It’s elegant, timeless, and makes people want to be up there with us.”
